HIMALAYAS

The himalayas, form a mountain range in asia separating the plains of the indian subcontinent from the tibetan plateau and it extends to several countries: bhutan, nepal, china and india. The himalayan range has many of the earth’s highest peaks, including the highest, mount everest 8848 meters above sea level, the highest mountain on the planet above sea level. The himalayas include over fifty mountains exceeding 7,200 metres (23,600 ft) in elevation, including ten of the fourteen 8000m peaks. Several places in the himalayas are of religious significance in hinduism, buddhism, jainism and sikhism. There are also muslim and hindhu shaivite kashmiri pandit in the area of kashmir.
